Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1. Do you have a storefront? Can I just stop by and pick up some baked goods?
A. I bake to order in my commercial kitchen so that there is no storefront nor baked goods to just come by for and pick up. You can order from the menu page and either pick up here, at a delivery site or come by the Roswell Farmers and Artisans Market on Saturdays from 8AM to noon mid April through end of October. During the holiday season I am at the Chattahoochee Nature Center Holiday Market, offer pop up markets in Roswell and you can order your holiday baked goods and pick them up in Alpharetta.
More up to date information on availability is posted on the Facebook site and sign up for the Newsletter!
Q2. Can I just get half an order? We are only feeding a few.
A. Order sizes are as is. They are sized so that we are able to price them reasonably for our customers. You can order single items for the pop up markets and can also buy them at the Farmers Markets.
Q3. What kind of ingredients do you use?
A. I use the best ingredients available: Organic, free range eggs, European style butter, some organic ingredients like spices, dairy products, nuts, fruit and flour. I use King Arthur flour as it is an employee owned company that supports small farmers, local business and produces superior flour. It is 100% USA grown, non-GMO grains.
All our products are 100% natural, without additives and artificial dyes, flavorings or preservatives.
Q4. How long have you been baking?
A. I have loved being in the kitchen ever since I remember. Watching my grandmother work her magic and learning from her is a very special memory to me (Oma’s Red Wine Cake is her recipe). We also used freshly milled flour to bake homemade bread and it was a family tradition to bake Christmas cookies and birthday cakes. So, naturally, when I had my own kitchen I started to experiment, learn and expand my baking knowledge and I haven’t stopped yet, nor do I intend to.
Q5. How can I get my baked goods?
A. I have a booth at the Roswell Farmers and Artisans Market, mid April to end of October from 8AM to noon. You can pick-up your order there or in Alpharetta. Delivery is available with a $30 minimum within a 5 mile radius and$1 per mile, including roundtrip, thereafter.
Q6. Do you deliver?
A. Yes, we deliver with a $30 minimum order within a 5 mile radius, and $1 per mile, including round trip, thereafter. I am more than happy to meet you as well.
Q7. Where are you located?
A. In the Windward Subdivision in Alpharetta, GA.
Q8. How much notice do you need for an order?
A. As much as possible, please! Four days ordering ahead is required for any orders, more for larger orders and cakes. Please keep in mind that orders are accepted on a first come first serve basis and around holidays the schedule tends to get full very quickly.
Q9. Is it legal to have a home food business?
A. Yes, I started with a cottage food license in 2012 and have since graduated to a commercial Food Sales license with the Department of Agriculture and have a Home Business License in the City of Alpharetta.
Q10. Do you ship your baked goods?
A. I will gladly ship breads, sourdoughs, dessert breads and of course Christmas Stollen and cookies within the continental United States. Additional shipping charges will apply.
